Post Oak Energy Capital Announces Sale of Switchgrass E&P Holdco, LLC

Post Oak Energy Capital, LP (“Post Oak”) today announced the sale of Switchgrass E&P Holdco, LLC (“Switchgrass”), an oil and gas operator focused primarily on Oklahoma’s SCOOP play.

During Post Oak’s partnership with the company, Switchgrass assembled a significant producing position in the SCOOP and built a substantial inventory of future drilling opportunities, creating meaningful value through strategic acquisitions and efficient operations.

“We have greatly enjoyed working with Tom Thurmond and the entire Switchgrass team as they successfully executed their strategy of acquiring, efficiently operating and expanding the asset base,” said Frost Cochran, Managing Director of Post Oak. “We appreciate their hard work and accomplishments and look forward to continuing our relationship with the team as they pursue their next venture.”

“Switchgrass is grateful for the confidence Post Oak placed in our team and for their continual support and partnership throughout this venture,” said Tom Thurmond, Chief Executive Officer of Switchgrass. “Together we created significant value in a relatively short period of time. Personally, I am especially appreciative of my longstanding relationship with Post Oak and the commitment they have shown in actively supporting our team’s success. This concludes the second Post Oak-backed venture which I’ve led, and I look forward to working together again and building the next profitable opportunity.”
