Rocker Launches as the Context-Aware AI Work Assistant for the Busiest People at the World’s Most Ambitious Companies

Rocker, the AI assistant for busiest people at the world’s most ambitious companies, today announced $12.85M in funding led by Greycroft, with participation from Anthropic and Menlo Ventures’ Anthology Fund, Matchstick, Stripe, and operators Jeanne DeWitt Grosser (COO, Vercel), Fran Ryan (CBO, Stripe), and David Singleton (Meta SuperIntelligence Labs leadership).

For the last few years, AI innovation has focused on optimizing the individual, arming them with agents to complete financial analysis, write code, redline contracts, and more. Now, the market is crowded with agents aiming to accelerate the individual, but without the context they need. They don’t understand priorities, the complicated history of the project being worked on, or the dependency between an individual’s work and their coworker’s. And ultimately, without shared context, a company full of fast individuals doesn’t make the fastest company. Rocker is built for this problem.

Rocker understands people, their agents, and their organization while powering every individual to work smarter. It can be used as an individual assistant, or deployed across the company in which case every new Rocker connects to a shared AI nervous system to multiply the collective impact.

“I’ve tried every fashionable leadership methodology during my career, and the only thing that really works is brute force: caching an entire organization in your head. Who’s blocked, whose work is about to collide with another team’s, how reality is diverging from plans. That’s how I ran the product portfolio behind 90-plus percent of Stripe’s revenue, and I’m confident that’s how all the best companies in the world actually operate,” said Alex Vogenthaler, cofounder and CEO of Rocker. “Imagine if AI could orchestrate people and their agents into something greater than the sum of their parts because they have the same depth of understanding and the drive to act on that knowledge. ”

Rocker is a proactive, stateful, context-rich multiplayer system. It holds a living model of projects, decisions, people, and history instead of rebuilding context from scratch, and connects every person’s agent in the organization so hand-offs stop failing, dependencies surface early, decisions get made and critical context is understood. It is built to respect human realities and social norms. Nothing from a person’s private context is shared without approval, and humans stay in the loop throughout.

“Privacy, trust, and auditability aren’t checkboxes in this space. They’re core differentiators, and we’ve built for them from day one: we had our SOC 2 compliance before we were nine months old,” said Peter Terrill, cofounder and CTO of Rocker. “And our entire stack is designed around customers owning and controlling their data and every user of the system to be able to trust it.”

Rocker’s system can be deployed inside each customer’s own cloud (“BYOC”): a direct answer to a concern rising to the top of the CIO agenda: enterprises shouldn’t send all their data to any single vendor. No SaaS tool has ever needed to see the entire company at once the way a company-wide context engine needs to. Rocker solves that by bringing the system to the data rather than the data to the system.

“Harnesses are the new software, but many large enterprises are hesitant to let corporate memory live outside their environments. Rocker has built a harness that can run in a company’s own cloud, providing shared context for employees while keeping IP in-house,” said Ian Sigalow, Co-founder and Managing Partner at Greycroft. “Alex, Peter, and the team lived through this problem, and it shows in the product.”

“We spend enormous amounts of time consuming information ‘just to stay in the loop’ and the problem is every piece of information has a cost,” said behavioral scientist Kristen Berman, cofounder and CEO at Irrational Labs, co-founder and principal at Common Cents Lab, author, and advisor. “The best information system isn’t one where everyone knows everything. It’s one where the right person knows the right thing at the right time. Rocker makes that possible.”
